Tell us about your love for Goshwara? Where does the inspiration for your designs come from?

I was born with a love for Gemstones because I grew up watching my father work with them. Goshwara is my baby born out of that love along with a passion for design and creation. A lot of my inspiration comes from my travels and from art and architecture.

Your house is filled with amazing art? How do you collect them?

Over the years I have had the opportunity to visit various galleries and auction houses and occasionally artists’ homes as well. The pieces I collect always have a story to tell. My favorite piece of art is a painting about the philosophy of Buddhism by Ravikumar.

When you travel for work what is your favorite go-to snack from the airports?

Almonds and dried fruits. Occasionally I will grab a yogurt.

What is comfort food for you?

Homemade Rice and Daal.

Your daughter is a vegan vegetarian.  Does she have a favorite dish that you cook at home?

Yes, she loves Upma (Indian) and Avocado Toast (Western).

Your all-time favorite books?

I have quite a few. In Non-Fiction I Love Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and Jeffrey Archer books. And in my daily on-the-go life I love reading the Wired magazine, National Geographic and the Economist.

What is your secret HOT sauce?

I make a yummy red chutney from red soprano peppers (Indian style) which goes great with a lot of Indian dishes, and a very spicy Olive oil with Serrano peppers, Black Peppers and herbs (Western Style).  This chutney taste great with pasta, pizzas and just even with bread.
