There is nothing better than a batch of homemade desserts! Varshita Dhoka shares with us a super quick recipe of oatmeal cookies and walnut fudge brownies. It is best served as a snack and is loved by all kids and adults. We recommend making the dough, keeping it in the refrigerator and bake them when you are planning to serve your kids or guest.

INGREDIENTS

FOR OATMEAL COOKIES

2 cups oatmeal powder

1 cup wheat flour

1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup melted ghee

1 cup choice of unsalted nuts (almonds, pasta, dried cranberries, raisins, chocolate chips)

1/2tsp vanilla essence

A few strands of saffron

FOR WALNUT FUDGE BROWNIES

1/2 cup butter

3/4 cup melted dark chocolate

1/2 cup condensed milk

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

1 cup wheat flour

1tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla essence

2tbsp water

FOR OATMEAL COOKIES

Step 1

Add the oatmeal powder, wheat flour, powdered sugar, nuts, and Kesar to a mixing bowl and whisk it well. Then, add ghee and vanilla essence to the dry mixture and mix it till a dough is made. Break the dough into small balls and shape them as you like.

Step 2

Place the oatmeal cookies in a preheated oven for 35 mins at 150C.

FOR WALNUT FUDGE BROWNIES

Step 1

Add soft butter and condensed milk in a mixing bowl and whisk it well until there are no lumps.
In another bowl take chopped dark chocolate and microwave it for 2 min. Add the melted chocolate to the mixing bowl. Then, add whole wheat flour and water and mix well till the batter is of a smooth consistency. Lastly, add the baking powder and vanilla essence and give it a final mix.

Step 2
Take a greased tray and pour the batter in it. Give the baking tray a nice shake so that the batter spreads. Once the batter is evened out, add the chopped walnuts and bake for 15 mins in a preheated oven at 160C.
